Frequently Asked Questions

We're Here to Help

We focus on vetting and selecting advisers who meet our rigorous expertise, ethics, and client service standards. While all partner advisers meet our stringent criteria, our matching algorithm is designed to connect investors the one adviser best matched to the goals and circumstances provided, if we have such an adviser in our network. The algorithm is not a substitute for a thorough due diligence process on the part of every investor; it's intended as a jumping off point to help in the search for a suitable adviser.

You are under no obligation to choose to do business with one of our partner advisers. But if you do, they will compensate WorthNet for this service and making the connection. Just know this:

  • WorthNet is a state-registered investment adviser with a fiduciary obligation to you, and we aim to resolve any conflicts in your best interest.
  • You will NEVER pay more for services with one of our partner advisers because we referred you, and
  • Our Form ADV Part 2A brochure lays out the details in plain English if you have any concerns.

By teaming up with one of our partner advisers, you get to work with a professional team with years of experience, a specialization or focus aligned with your needs, and who takes the time to understand the goals that are important to you. These specialties include but are not limited to portfolio management, tax strategies, risk mitigation like generational issues in business succession, insurance, and estate planning. In other words, we don't believe one-size-fits-all can ever apply to an adviser. And our partners strive to differentiate themselves.

We prefer so-called "boutique advisers," smaller firms with innovative specialties and the time to share them with you. These professionals focus on understanding client needs and can produce successful track records to demonstrate their delivery over the long haul. We see this collaborative approach as designed to foster enduring relationships and support clients as they pursue their financial goals – and the potential for lasting success.

Our partner advisers typically work with clients with at least $500,000 to invest. Some advisers may have higher or lower thresholds depending on the services provided and the types of expertise required. Occasionally, additional criteria will also apply. The best way to determine if you are eligible to work with a WorthNet partner adviser is to fill out our simple questionnaire and see if a match exists for your goals and situation.

No. WorthNet’s value is in our network. In making connections. We don’t directly manage assets; that’s the domain of our experienced advisers.

We work to connect you with a partner well-matched to your needs from within our partner network. The adviser you choose will work independently to help craft and execute your plan and will manage any assets you decide to entrust to them.

Absolutely! We believe a successful investor is well-informed. During your consultation and after you schedule your appointment with a WorthNet-vetted adviser, you'll receive detailed information about their background, licensing, credentials, areas of expertise, regulatory status, and performance history, among others – insights to help you make the best decision.

Because of their valued relationship with us, our partner advisers will offer you a no-cost, no-obligation consultation. It's not a "sales pitch" but a detailed discussion where you and the adviser get a feel for each other and see whether your needs mesh well with their specialties.

WorthNet continually evaluates its partner advisers, monitoring their performance, client satisfaction, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. We want to ensure all advisers in our network deliver exceptional client service, an element we believe is the foundation of a great partnership.

Advisers interested in joining the WorthNet network can contact us directly. We’ll guide you through our onboarding process, which includes a thorough evaluation of your qualifications, compliance history, and alignment with our standards of excellence. Just know before you reach out – we are searching for the few distinguished craftsmen and women who truly differentiate themselves as advisers. So please let us know what’s distinctive about your firm, your strategies, and the clients you’ve been able to help. If you pass muster, we’d love to make you part of our small but mighty WorthNet network.
